Two Homes, One Lasting Partnership: The Story of Eric and Lyfairs

Some clients place an order. Others become part of the Lyfairs family. Eric is one of those people, and his story spans two homes, two years, and a friendship we never expected when the project first began.

It Began With a Designer We Trust

Our connection with Eric started with someone we already knew well: Amber, his interior designer. Amber first began working with Lyfairs in 2022, and she has been a valued design partner ever since — still creating new projects with us today.

In 2023, Amber was designing Eric’s home and came to us with a specific challenge: she needed an oversized custom chandelier built to the scale of the space, a fixture most suppliers simply couldn’t produce. We took on the project, working through the dimensions, proportions, and finishing details until the design matched her vision exactly. That first chandelier was the beginning of something much bigger.

From One Project to a Whole Home

Over the following six months, Amber returned to us again and again. One chandelier became several, and eventually every chandelier in Eric’s home was custom-made by Lyfairs. Both Amber and Eric were genuinely happy with the craftsmanship, with the lighting effect in the finished rooms, and with the experience of working together throughout.

Eric even gave us a tour of his home so we could see the chandeliers in their setting: how the light fell across each room, how the fixtures anchored the spaces they were designed for. For a team that builds lighting from sketches and measurements, seeing the finished result through the client’s own eyes is a rare and meaningful gift.

When a Client Becomes a Friend

Custom lighting projects involve a lot of conversation, messages back and forth, photos, drawings, and adjustments. Somewhere in those long exchanges, the relationship grew into something warmer. Eric wasn’t just a customer anymore. He had become a friend of the Lyfairs team.

And Eric, being the generous person he is, didn’t keep that friendship to himself. He happily introduced friends and fellow homeowners to Lyfairs, personally helping them feel comfortable and connecting them with our team. He didn’t have to do any of that. He did it simply because he wanted to. We were, and still are, deeply touched by his kindness.

A Second Home, The Same Trust

In 2025, Eric began a new project: designing a home for his son. When it came time to choose the lighting, there was no hesitation. He came back to Lyfairs, and once again custom-ordered every chandelier for his son’s home.

To have a client trust us with one home is an honor. To have them return for a second, for the next generation of their family, is the highest compliment we could ever receive.

In Eric’s Own Words

After the most recent chandelier was confirmed, Eric wrote to share how he felt. His message stayed with us:

“You and Jennifer have amazing communication and have made this such a pleasure to work with… the products are amazing. I will send pictures in a few months of the installed chandeliers.”

The “you” in Eric’s message is Nicole, who handled his project over email, receiving every customization detail and working hand in hand with our design team to bring each chandelier to life. Jennifer, our customer service specialist, was there for everything in real time, answering urgent calls and staying beside Eric through the installation period. Together, they made sure he never faced a single step alone.

Words like these are exactly why we do what we do. A kind message from a client we admire is worth more to us than any review could ever be.
