Custom Oversized Chandelier Project in Mexico – From 3D Rendering to Final Installation

Custom Oversized Chandelier Project in Mexico – From 3D Rendering to Final Installation

At LYFAIRS, some custom lighting projects go far beyond selecting a fixture from a catalog. They involve collaboration, planning, visualization, production, international logistics, and patience from both sides.

This project, completed for a client in Mexico, was one of the largest custom lighting fixtures we produced in 2025.

The final chandelier measured:

L283.46" × W70.87" × H47.2"

Due to its scale and complexity, the project required extensive communication and preparation before production even began.

📍 Project Planning & 3D Visualization

For oversized lighting installations, visualizing the final result before production is an important part of the process.

At the early stage of the project, we created a detailed 3D rendering video for the client to help demonstrate the overall proportions of the chandelier, the lighting arrangement and structure

In addition to the rendering, we also prepared and shipped material samples so the client could confirm the finish, texture, and overall appearance before moving forward.

After reviewing the renderings and samples, the client confirmed that the design and production officially began.

🛠️ Custom Production Process

Because of the chandelier’s size and customized structure, production took around a month to complete.

During this stage, our team coordinated closely with the production team to ensure that the final fixture matched the approved renderings and specifications.

As the project progressed, we documented the process with:

  • Workshop photos
  • Production updates
  • Videos of the completed fixture before shipment

Before shipping, the chandelier was fully assembled and tested in our workshop. Photos and videos of the completed product were then shared with the client for final confirmation.

Only after receiving approval did we proceed with shipment.

💡 Final Installation in Mexico

Last week, the client completed the installation and kindly shared photos of the finished project with us.

Seeing the chandelier fully installed in the space, after months of planning, production, and transportation. This was a meaningful moment for our LYFAIRS team.

The final installation closely reflected the original renderings created during the early concept stage, bringing the project full circle from visualization to reality.

🤝 A Collaborative Custom Lighting Project

This project reflects the different stages often involved in large-scale custom lighting projects internationally:

  • Concept visualization
  • 3D rendering confirmation
  • Material sampling
  • Customized production
  • Pre-shipment inspection
  • International freight coordination
  • Final installation

Rather than focusing only on the final product, projects like this are built through ongoing communication and collaboration between the client, design team, and production team.

🌍 Custom Lighting Projects for Large Spaces

Oversized chandeliers are increasingly being used in:

  • Luxury residences
  • Staircase installations
  • Hotel lobbies
  • Commercial interiors
  • Double-height spaces

For projects in locations such as Mexico, the United States, and the Middle East, custom lighting often requires balancing design vision with production feasibility and international shipping logistics.

📌 Final Thoughts

We appreciate the client’s patience throughout the process and are grateful they shared the final installation photos with us after completion.

For us, seeing a custom fixture successfully installed in its intended space is always one of the most rewarding parts of the project journey.❤️
