There's a feeling you get when you meet someone and somehow, instantly, it feels like you've known them forever. I felt that exact recognition the first time I saw Gordon Gu's Vortex round table, glacier crystal carved like flowing water, rippling with light. Some things, like some people, feel like they were always meant to find you.
No two leaves are ever quite the same, and neither are we. I've been lucky to know people with real independence of spirit, the ones who shape what Lyfairs becomes. That's what I see in Gordon Gu's Ever-thriving lamp: a single leaf, magnified into art, so its quiet, one-of-a-kind beauty finally gets seen.
There's one piece I keep coming back to: a coffee table Gordon Gu made from reclaimed wood, branches, and resin. He called it Growth Rings. Its surface reminds me of my own life right now: one ring at a time, no rush.
